This year, India celebrates the 66th Anniversary of their freedom. In honour of this special day in India, the organizing committee of India Club welcomes the public to experience and participate in a festival of celebration, Incredible India Day at the Brightwater Commons on Saturday, August 18th, 2012. An indian lifestyle event of note not to be missed!
The Indian Experience!
A medley of Indian exhibit stands with great bargain shopping. Enjoy a shopping frenzy as you browse the variety of stalls ranging from clothing, home decor, music, ayurvedic, homeopathic treatment products that will be at the Incredible India Day 2012. The ever popular Henna artists are at your disposal to create masterpieces of creative Indian art on you.
South Africans and tourists will spend a day experiencing the sights, sounds of India. An exciting array of dance and musical performances to keep both young and old entertained. Last year, we saw the very first tribal Indian dance group perform in South Africa, this year promises to offer another exciting line-up of artists that are rarely seen outside of India. India Club has commissioned a special cast of traditional artists will descend into Brightwater Commons from India to give this celebration a truly authentic experience of traditional India. Local and international performers will entertain you like never before!
The line up of the entertainment program includes the colourful Bihu dancers from North Eastern India, folk dances from Orissa, Rajasthan and Bengal, the Lavni performers of Maharashtra and local fusion performances from homegrown ‘Mzansi’.
Need to wind down as you spend your day with us? Experience the authentic Indian head or upper shoulder massages and reflexology treatments available during the course of the day. The Incredible India Tourism representative will be available to share travel information, destination brochures and much more for those keen on experiencing the diverse and exciting holiday options to India.
Tempt your taste buds with an array of authentic Indian food which will take you on a gourmet journey while you watch India’s arts and culture come alive on stage. Brightwater Commons who always ensure that everyone enjoys a pleasant outing to their venue, a kids play center with loads of activities for children to keep busy with.
