Youth Symposium, State of Indian Culture

The Shree Parasakthie Temple of Merebank will be hosting a symposium for the youth to discuss and debate on issues that pertain to religion and state of culture.  This event is being supported by the Department of Arts and Culture Kwazulu-Natal.

An invitation is extended to youth devotees to present papers in the following topics:

  • Tradition Vs. Modernity – The Dilemma facing the Indian Youth in the 21st Century
  • Indian or South African – Are the People of Indian Origin in South Africa Facing an Identity Crisis?
  • How modern technology could be positively used in the promotion of culture and religion?
  • The Importance of Intercultural Dialogue in promoting peace and Harmony.
  • The Role of Hindu Festivals in Promoting Communal Harmony
  • Mother Worship in Indian Religion and Culture
  • Preserving, Promoting, and Practicing Hindu Dharma – Using Hindu Scriptures
  • Are you Proud or Ashamed to be a Hindu?
