Shakti, The Feminine Force

The Sarvavidya Natyaalaya, a Bharatanatyam dance school based in Lenasia, is proud to present its first annual anniversary concert entitled, Shakti: the Feminine Force. This concert celebrates and acknowledges the various aspects of feminine energy within a global context, these various aspects being that of Mother Nature, Mother as nurturer, Mother Land and Divine Mother. The dances will be performed by all students and teachers of the Sarvavidya Natyaalaya.

While the school specialises in classical dance the performers will use different styles of traditional folk, classical and contemporary movements. Shakti: the Feminine Force promises to be a vibrant and colourful performance with the hope of leaving its audience touched by divine energy. Sarvavidya Natyaalaya is a non-profit organisation established by Anusha Pillay, Reshma Chhiba and Panna Bhaga in May 2010, this concert is in celebration of the organisation’s second anniversary. Please support us and take pride in our wonderful Indian heritage.
