JYMJoin us for a memorable event as we learn the lessons of love from some of the greatest love stories in Indian History. The feet tapping dance performances with a mixture of elegant and dazzling costumes will thrill you and certainly melt your heart as we dramatize the stories of Devdas, Laila Majnu and many others.

Love is a delirious passion and there is nothing like a love story to lift your mood and if ends in a tragedy… even better!  Undying eternal love has made many its appearance throughout the ages and centuries. Join us, as we re-invoke the passion of these great love stories in the form of song and dance.

About: The Johannesburg Yuvak Mandal (JYM) has been in existence for the past 18 years. From it’s inception in 1989, the aim of the organisation is to promote religion, culture and development of the youth, through community involvement.

In order to meet this aim, the JYM sustains itself, through professional sound and lighting for major bands, weddings, various variety concerts (musical and dance) as well as religious functions. Read more about JYM >>

JYM’S journey through India 2009 review: “The entire show direction was put into context that the audience could relate to which made the 3 hour show exciting and filled up seats to a completely sold out event. The elements of both our South African Indian culture rich and diverse blended into the pure Indian heritage splashed with some Western influence which was prevalent in both our Indian and South African context.” Read about it here >>
