Barsaat, Lets Dance in the Rain by Jhankaar

Preparations are well underway for the highly anticipated, 26th annual production by the Jhankaar School of Dance entitled Barsaat- Let’s dance in the rain. The production will be staged on the 14th & 15th of September this year at the Gandhi Hall theatre in Lenasia.

As one of the oldest and leading Indian contemporary dance schools in the Gauteng, the Jhankaar School of Dance will wow audiences once again with breath taking dance routines and a blend of uniquely choreographed dances.

The music of Madan Mohan, Sivamani, Kailash Kher, Bikram Ghosh and many other legendary names lends itself to dance styles which include Afro fusion, Kathak, Ballet Rock & Roll and not forgetting the vibrant Bollywood.

Jhankaar Celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011 with a production entitled “Jashn, celebrating life celebrating dance”, which brought together 25 years on non-stop dance. The production was a resounding success with dances executed is various dance styles including kathak, Hip-Hop, ballet, flamenco, jazz and the ever popular Bollywood.
