The concert, Nada Raga Sagara is a series of music for meditation healing will be hosted this April in South Africa with a renowned line up of artists accompanying Him.

HH Sri Swamiji has been at the forefront of reviving the concept of “Music Therapy” or “Music for Healing” or “Music for Meditation”.  Sri Swamiji has pioneered the reinvention and popularization of “Raagaragini Vidya“, an ancient musical tradition that is claimed to augment spiritual Sadhana and cure ailments.  Ragas (musical tunes) are said to help treatment of patients with afflictions of physical and mental nature, under certain conditions.

Sri Swamiji’s “Raga Sagara” series of Live Concerts of Meditation and Healing Music are being conducted regularly across the globe. Thousands attend His concerts, which send the message of harmony.  His Holiness has toured the world dozens of times spreading the therapeutical aspects of Raga based music.  Some of His most notable concerts include the Lincoln Center, New York, Royal Albert Hall, London, in Antwerp Belgium, Berlin, Germany.

Healing Methodologies
His Holiness has been a leading light in the propogation and formulation of Nada Chikitsa (Music for Healing purposes). Sri Swamiji’s healing methodologies involve knowledge of Music, Astronomy, Yoga and bio-psychic structure of the human organism and identification of the Indian classical ragas and their consonance with the elements of nature (pancha bhootas) led Him to develop the unique concept of “Music for Meditation and Healing”.

Sri Swamiji has spent years redefining the concepts of  vibrational qualities of the different musical Ragas and the varied modes of classical Indian music. During concerts, Sri Swamiji’s main instrument is the synthesizer, a custom built instrument by Roland  – the Datta Veena as He calls it – which is capable of producing sounds of many instruments. The versatility of the instrument coupled with the genius of Sri Swamiji, produce the ultimate musical effect with unusual artistic tapestry. Sri Swamiji’s music is devotional and used for spiritual energy transmission. This great master plays ayurvedic healing ragas on the electronic synthesizer, accompanied by musicians on classical Indian instruments.

Sri Swamiji’s music is famously known for its healing effects.  His music contains variant tones;which are used for the healing process.  His music elevates the level of consciousness of the listeners, helping them to experience inner peace and harmony.

Every individual represents an ‘aura’, and each musical note represents a dimension of spiritual energy.  Based on an individual’s nature, planetary positions, nature of illness and other factors, Sri Swamiji produces such a music, using suitable instruments and ragas, that is capable of producing the desired vibration and resultant healing.

”Physical health results from a healthy mind,” Sri Swamiji says. “Music of the right type helps in achieving relaxation by soothing the nerves and through that comes peace and stillness of the mind.”

Listening to His Meditation music in person, or to his over 100 albums, is the melodical medicine prescribed by Sri Swamiji for many ailments. Many health care professionals around the globe use Sri Swamiji’s healing music as part of their music therapy practices.
