Kavin Media releases Paradesi (Nomad)

Kavin Media & Ster-Kinekor present the latest in South Indian cinema, PARADESI (Nomad) on 29th of March as a Easter weekend special. The bookings shall open on TODAY, 26  March, 2013.

Critics praised this movie of international quality and lauded this as a best product from the award winning director Bala. Bala is the one who crafted Vikram (Sethu, Pitha Magan), Surya (Nanda & Pitha Magan), Arya (Naan Kadavul) & Vishal (Avan Ivan) in their acting career. Adharva, son of yesteryear actor Murali’s also casted Paradesi.

About Paradesi
Paradesi (English: Nomad) is a film directed by national award winning director Bala starring Adharvaa, Vedhika and Dhansika. Music scored by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film is based on real life incidents that took place before Indian independence in the 1930s.

Paradesi, deals with the story of enslaved tea plantation workers in pre-independent India. The film has been adapted from Eriyum Panikadu, a Tamil translation of the 1969 novel Red Tea by Paul Harris Daniel which deals with Harris’s encounters with enslaved tea plantation workers in the Madras Presidency in colonial India.

Paradesi’s dialogues are written by noted Tamil writer Nanjil Nadan.

This movie plot is simillar to the arrival of our ancestors in South Africa. The movie  portrays our ancient culture, marriage rituals, the time of innocence, hard work, colonisation, betrayal etc. A movie South African Tamils shouldn’t miss!
