If you are in the mood for a love story that is sure to make your heart melt, don’t miss the latest Bollywood release from Ster-Kinekor. Raanjhanaa will be screened at Ster-Kinekor Gateway in Durban from this Friday, 21 June.

The cast includes Dhanush and SonamKapoor in the lead roles, and Abhay Deol. Directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Krishika Lulla, the wonderful music, which is integral to a true Bollywood film, is composed by double Academy Award winner, A R Rahman.

Making his Bollywood debut in Raanjhanaa, Dhanush is a popular Tamil film star noted for his most recent breakthrough performance in the Tamil blockbuster, 3.

Ranjhanaa follows the story of Kundan(Dhanush) and his life journey from a 13-year-old boy who is in love, to becoming a committed and spirited young man, whose experiences make him the person he is today.

The first love in anyone’s life always holds a special place, especially if the memory is filled with the vibrant musings of the city in which one grew up. The town of Benaras holds a special place in Kundan’s heart, not only because it was where he grew up as a typical, God-fearing, shiv bhakt-Pandit, but also because it was the city that gave him Zoya (Kapoor).

is a sweeping tale of love, betrayal, redemption and healing, set against the very rooted town of Benaras and the upbeat political environs of Delhi.

Raanjhanaa releases at Ster-Kinekor Gateway on Friday, 21 June.
