Last month, Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar had reportedly reached out to terrorist group ISIS and tried to “initiate peace talks” with them. “Dialogue for peace along with military action is required to be undertaken simultaneously, because they don’t understand other people in the world have rights too. They have killed more than 1 lakh Muslims till date,” Sri Sri had said earlier, at a press conference in November 2015.
ISIS didn’t exactly say no
They instead responded in kind, in the best way they knew. “…They sent me a photograph of a beheaded body of a man.” Sri Sri said in Agartala, during a three-day visit to Tripura. “ISIS is very peculiar. I stretched my hand out to have a dialogue, but when these people think no-one else has a right to exist, talks alone will not work,” the 59-year-old spiritual leader said.
Which why Sri Sri is all ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’ with them, recommending military action
“I think the ISIS does not want any peace talks. Hence, they should be dealt with militarily”. Last year, the Malaysian chapter of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living had received threatening letters from the Islamic State terror group.
