Akshaye Khanna Returns To Bollywood In Dishoom

Decades of Bollywood has passed and nobody had even barely noticed that Akshaye Khanna had slipped away into the abyss of darkness.

Now 20 years and about 30 films later, Khanna has hit play on his internal remote and assumed the bad guy role in the upcoming movie – thanks to Sajid Nadiadwala who’s invested his hope and entrusted this to deliver in his mega crore affair – Dishoom.

If we flashback to the late 90’s you will recall the movie, ‘Border’ which starred Sunny Deol and Suniel Shetty but the wildcard of Khanna in his winning form there stole the hearts of many Bollywood fans.

Khanna has portrayed too many positive roles in the past and this wasn’t the case in

Dishoom. The role of ‘Wagah’ in Dishoom, is a negative role.  There is/was a considerable amount doubt cast on Akshaye Khanna after so many years in exile. But some say he nailed the role of the bad boy in the upcoming movie, Dishoom.

I have no doubt that there was sincere fear in Khanna in his return to the shores of Bollywood as most of his movies turned out to be major flops. like Shaadi Se Pehle, Aap Ki Khatir, Salaam E Ishq, Naqaab, Gandhi – My Father, Aaja Nachle, Gali Gali Chor Hai, No Problem, Aakrosh, Shortkut – The Con Is On and Mere Baap Pehle Aap and many more

Before you Khanna fans decide to deepthroat me on the above statement let’s give credit to the movies like Taal, Dil Chahta Hai, Humraaz, Deewangee, Hungama and Hulchul  which were okay.

His negative role in the 2008 movie ‘Race’ became the precursor Nadiadwala since the part of ‘Wagah’ is negative. ‘Dishoom’ became the perfect movie for the return of Khanna.

With the current big names like Varun Dhawan, John Abraham & Jacqueline Fernandez – Khanna is riding on positive influences that will carry him from here to stardom. Then and with the backing of Eros they are making sure that the film gets a perfect worldwide release.

In less than a week’s time audiences get the chance to be judge and jury on Khanna’s return to the fold of Bollywood.
