Ayurveda Tips For Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is the inability of a man to have an erection hard enough to have sexual intercourse. When it comes to sexual disorders, there is a general don’t ask and don’t tell scenario.

Like other health problems, sexual ailments can also be resolved. There are various home remedies which are quite beneficial for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. This sexual disorder may lead to the low self esteem, stress and problems in relationships.

In Ayurveda, erectile dysfunction is known as klaibya . There are three dosahs – vata, pitta and kapha in the body which are responsible for a healthy body. Vitiation or imbalance of these doshas result in the health issues. Erectile dysfunction (klaibya) is due to the vitiated vata dosha.

On the basis of cause, there are seven types of klaibya those are explained in Ayurvedic texts. Mansik klaibya which is the result of psychological factors. Shukrakshayaj is due to the deficiency of shukra dhatu. Vyadhij occurs due to the disease like diabetes. Aghataj is the result of an injury or surgery. Shukranirodhaj is due to the suppression of sexual urge.

1. Garlic

Use of the garlic is good for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Allicin is the antioxidant present in the garlic that helps to strengthen the sexual organ and also maintains the good circulation of blood.

How to consume – Consuming the 1to 2 cloves regularly for three months are good in erectile dysfunction. Alternatively cloves can also be consumed by frying them in the cow ghee, until these turn golden brown.  Cow ghee helps to remove the heat from garlic but maintains the aphrodisiac qualities. After doing it for regular three months, there will be noticeable difference in sexual performance.

2. Walnut & Honey

Walnut is a dry fruit which helps to maintain the health of male sex organs. It is packed with nutrients like zinc and iron which are good to improve the sexual performance of men.  Walnut also contains the arginine, amino acid which produces the nitric oxide.

Nitric oxide dilates the blood vessels thus increases the blood flow to sexual organs. Thus consumption of walnut is good for erectile dysfunctions. Honey is also aphrodisiac in properties and thus good to improve the sexual performance.

Consuming 1tablespoon of honey along with 1walnut everyday gives the good results in erectile dysfunction. Drinking a cup of warm milk after honey and walnut consumption is considered to enhance the performance.

3. Onions

Onions are also known to be packed with aphrodisiac properties hence good to improve the erectile dysfunction.

A soup of medium sized sliced onions can be prepared in one cup of water. Taking this soup before bedtime is good for erectile dysfunction.

4. Ladies Finger/Okra

Ladies finger is considered as a sexual tonic and has been used since ancient times to treat various sexual problems.

Make the powder of the lady finger roots. Approximately ten grams of the ladies finger root powder, two tablespoons of mishri powder   can be taken along with a glass of warm milk. Consumption of this mixture is good for the premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunctions. Consume it two times ina day for good results.

5. Ginger

Ginger is good to increase blood circulation in the body and sexual organs too. Thus consumption of ginger is quite effective for erectile dysfunctions.

Consume one tablespoon of ginger powder with a tablespoon of honey along with one half boiled egg before bedtime. Do this for month   to see the noticeable change in sexual performance.

6. Watermelon Seeds

Watermelon seeds contain citrulline, (amino acid) that is utilized by our body to produce  other amino acid, arginine. Arginine is packed with amazing properties which help in blood vessels relaxation. It is also good in boosting nitric oxide in the body which is important for the treatment of erectile dysfunctions.

Watermelon seeds can also be taken as snacks, can be sprinkled on salads, toasts for good results.

7. Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds help to strength veins, arteries and also increase the blood circulation in the body. Pumpkin seeds are packed with zinc, which is considered as an essential mineral to improve the sexual health of men.

Consumption of handful of pumpkin seeds is good to resolve the erectile dysfunction.

8. Carrots

Grate approximately 150 gms of carrots and   then add one tablespoon of honey in this. Consumption of this mixture along with half boiled egg for a month is good to enhance the sexual performance.

9. Pomegranate Juice

Drinking a glass of pomegranate juice every day is known to be quite effective to treat  the erectile dysfunction naturally.

10 . Olive Oil

Massage of olive oil on your reproductive organ is known to improve the blood circulation.  Use of this oil is good for the erectile dysfunction.
