Durban resident are in panic as earth tremors have caused fears of building collapse.
An earthquake struck Botswana at about 7.40pm with aftershock tremors felt in areas of Durban, Johannesburg and other parts of Southern Africa.
Reports of high rise buildings swaying are emerging on social media. The residents of Durban’s North Beach describe the events as ‘a scary experience’ as they felt their surroundings start to move. Hysteria gripped some as people resorted to evacuating their buildings.
ER 24 spokesperson also highlighted they received reports of the tremor and are on standby.
