The busy chef, who’s earned the title of being India’s Nigella Lawson, comes to our screens in a 12-part show ‘Anjum’s Australian Spice Stories’, which airs on BBC Lifestyle on Tuesday night at 9PM.
For Anjum, food is always at the heart of any holiday experience. So while she explores the picturesque Australian countryside and samples the beautiful local produce, she might just show the locals a thing or two about modern Indian cuisine…
Australia holds a special part in Anjum’s heart (having come here for her honeymoon), right next to her passion for food. ‘Anjum’s Australian Spice Stories’ is a foodie’s getaway, with a unique Indian twist from ‘the face of Modern Indian cuisine’ herself.
IndianSpice will be sharing recipes from each show after it broadcasts every week.
From produce to local delicacies and beautiful landscapes, Anjum explores the wonders of modern Indian cuisine, showcasing how healthy, fresh and easy Indian flavours can be.
Anand’s new series, which was filmed entirely in Australia, centres around her fresh, healthy and Western take on Indian food with recipes from her popular cookbooks.
For her food is at the heart of every holiday experience and having her honeymoon in Australia, Anand was keen to further explore Australia’s culinary delights.
In the series, she meets with local suppliers and market holders as she shops for spices and ingredients at the Queen Victoria Markets before heading back to the kitchen in her picturesque rural property in the Mornington Peninsula.
She also explores the wonders of modern Indian cuisine, with an Australian twist, showcasing how healthy, fresh and easy Indian flavours can be.
