#Durban Easter Weekend: Festival of Chariots 2017

It’s that time of the year again, when the sights and sounds of Durban will come alive, in an array of colour, festivities and culture.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will host the 29th annual Durban Festival of Chariots, over the Easter weekend at the Old Durban Drive Inn. It is a free event that perfectly showcases the spirit KZN. The festival caters for Durbanites and visitors to the province over Easter and offers diverse activities that will suit different tastes.

Since its inception in 1988, the festival has grown to become one of Durban’s largest and most multi-racial events. This year is no exception, as the festival will showcase a stellar line-up of activities and cultural entertainment.

Hosted by ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness), this free event, open to all, sees more than 120 000 visitors each year from all over the globe, and has become one of the most exciting highlights on Durban’s calendar.

The deep seeded philosophy of Food for Life, where “no one in this world should go to bed hungry”, will once again come to fore, with hot vegetarian meals served every day of the festival to every visitor for free.
