Sanjay Dutt is currently shooting for his big comeback film Bhoomi and his biopic being directed by Rajkumar Hirani featuring Ranbir Kapoor is already making waves.
Having stood the test of time and finished his sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, Sanjay Dutt is a wiser and mature man. In a recent interview to a leading newspaper the actor once known for his colourful ways has come out condemning drug abuse and the affect of psychotropic substances.
In the interview Sanjay Dutt said there was nothing exciting about marijuana or any other drug related kicks. He was quoted as saying, “What is so enjoyable about anything mood-altering, when you can get the biggest high from life, family or your work? There’s something natural called adrenaline — there is no drug in the world that can replicate it. But that is the best high that anybody can get.”
Dutt’s views on addiction were insightful and to the point. He said, “Eight out of 10 people in this world are addicts. So, only two out of 10 are not. A guy can say, ‘Okay, I’ll have a joint on Saturdays, and he sticks to it. Or I’ll have one drink a day, bas’. And he does it. I’ve seen many people like that. But that percentage is small. I wish I could be like that.”
