soulmate poem

Poetry: My Soul Mate

I want to write on walls,

Across the sky,

I want to capture our fervent passion in every possible way

I want to compose the love we share

I want to note every essence of our sensual seduction,

To the final letter of our stirring affection,

To the heaves and sighs of our rapture.

How do I embalm the love we share?

Do I write a poem?

Do I write a book?

Do I let my blood ink on the pages of my heart?

Do I tattoo your name on my body?

Binding love for eternity with written trails of my love’s craving,

Craving for someone so exquisitely unattainable

So sweet yet so sinful

So desirable yet so wrong

Occupying my deepest darkest thoughts

Entering every corner of my mind

Running circles through my mind

& creating ravenous lustful dreams

Leaving me dripping with want from my lips.

I wonder what keeps us together

What keeps us connected?

Like a flame, he shines brightly,

Like a moth, I only crave his brightness ….

Even though he may scar me, I love the dancing silhouette.

We still live with regrets, lost moments

Wasted seconds, we should have stolen those hours

Time now shows us, we must now grasp every chance.

When I look into your eyes

The world simply fades away

I drown in the vortex of those eyes

Now can you understand how much I yearn for you?

Is this testament enough of my love for you

How deep this addiction

It flows madly in my veins

Star Struck Lovers destined to be together

If not in this lifetime

Then the next

Because our souls know each other from back then

Before our hearts met here ….
