A Bisexual Role For Ranveer Singh In Padmavati

Alauddin Khilji has been described as a bisexual in history, Jim Sarbh of Neerja is playing Ranveer Singh’s love interest in the film.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently busy with Padmavati which features Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The magnum opus will see  Ranveer playing the role of Alauddin Khilji while Deepika plays the titular role of Rani Padmini. On the other hand, Shahid will be seen essaying the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

According to certain reports which have been floating around, Bhansali will be seen exploring Alauddin’s fascination and attraction to his slave-general Malik Kafur. Ranveer will reportedly be seen playing a bisexual character onscreen. Earlier, the actor had said on a podcast that if the script demands he would not mind playing such roles but for that to happen it really needs to be special to him.

The reports further suggest that it will be Neerja actor Jim Sarbh who will be seen playing the role of Malik Kafur in Padmavati. However, not much has been revealed on this as his character is being kept under wraps.

Speculations of Padmavati being pushed for a next year release has been doing the rounds, however,another report suggests that the teaser of the movie will soon be released. However, no official confirmation has been received so far on the same.

Padmavati is one of the most anticipated movies which is being made on a mammoth budget. Shahid recently started dubbing for the movie. He made the announcement on social media. Pictures of him training for the action sequences recently went viral and we just cannot wait for the movie to release.
