Music Icon Shri Beama Naidoo Passes On

It’s an incredibly sad day in the world of South African Music: Luxmi Entertainers Beama Naidoo has passed away after a short illness.

For almost 20 years Naidoo has nurtured young artists under the Beama Naidoo School of Music or Aanandhe Raagam. In the early 80’s, Luxmi Entertainers- the iconic band Naidoo was a part of – produced its first original album entitled ‘Annai Oru Dheepam’ .

Best Of Kodambakkam radio jock Mala Lutchmanan expressed her grief over the sudden passing away, “our dear brother Beama Naidoo. RIP….your immense contribution to the South African music industry will live through your music and the many outstanding students you produced.”
