Former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Judge Navanethem Pillay has urged Myanmar de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi to condemn the violence by the Burmese Military against the Rohingya Muslim minority.
Almost 90-thousand Rohingya’s have fled the country in the last 10 days amid escalating violence and human rights atrocities, including the rape of women and children.
Muslim countries across Asia are now demanding a swift resolution to the crisis. Judge Pillay has described the treatment of the Rohingyas as worse than that of black South Africans under the apartheid government.
