Catch the romcom ‘Potato Potahto’ at cinemas this Friday!

Calling all comedy lovers! For a combination of Ghanaian and Nigerian humour catch Potato Potahto, a Nollywood romcom featuring the talented O.C. Ukeje and Joselyn Dumas.

This delightful African story is suitable for festive season family entertainment and is showing exclusively at Ster-Kinekor cinemas.

While the moving in together of a divorced couple may spell disaster to most, Tony and Lulu, played by O.C. Ukeje and Joselyn Dumas, in this month’s romantic comedy, Potato Potahto, seem to think otherwise as they plan to share their matrimonial home. This film follows the difficult, but comical journey of the couple as they quickly come to the realisation that this decision is not quite as simple as they had thought.  From dealing with various issues including the flexing of personal egos, the couple construct calculated efforts to intentionally rub each up other the wrong way, this brings in an element of humour that will have viewers laughing irresistibly.

Tony and Lulu’s battles and the disastrous decision to remain living together after their divorce, seems to point at the elephant in the room throughout the film, which highlights their abiding love, despite their efforts to prove otherwise.

The movie has received multiple awards including Best Narrative Feature Film (Silicon Valley African Film Festival). Best Feature Film (Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival). Special Jury Award Best Actress – Joselyn Dumas (Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival). Special Jury Award Best Actor – OC Ukeje (Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival).
