Padmavati drama benefits these Bollywood movies

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial ‘Padmavati‘ has been mired in controversy ever since the film was announced. This has led to many political leaders and religious communities coming out against the film and its release.

Tthe matter has become so serious that Deepika Padukone, Bhansali and other cast members have been assigned police security, after a political leader doubled the bounty (to Rs 10 crore) on the director and Deepika’s head.

All protests and controversies against the film have forced the makers to take a decision of postponing the release to next year.

Padmavati’s postponement has made ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ the only and solo biggest release of December. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer will hit screens on December 22.

While fans and people from film fraternity are sad about this move, other filmmakers and actors are cashing in the opportunity.

Encashing on the buzz, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Monsoon Shootout’ will head to the theaters sooner. The film at first was rumoured to be clashing with Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which is set to release on December 22 this year. However, the makers shifted the date to December 15. Now, it will head to your nearby cinemas on December 8.

Kapil Sharma’s Firangi, which is expected to release on November 24, will have more days to rake in at the box-office. Earlier, it had only a week before Padmavati’s release, but now the makers can extend their screens.

Now there are reports that instead of November 24, the makers would push the release date to December 1.

Not just the new releases, Padmavati’s release date push comes as a relief to already released films. Tumhari Sulu, which is already performing well at the box office, will also get an extension at the box office.
