Kangana gears up for a big year of movies

Kangana Ranaut calls on people to boycott Chinese products in retaliation against the attack on Indian Army soldiers at the Galwan Valley.

2017 may not have been the year of Kangana Ranaut in terms of her filmography with Simran not faring so well at the box office but with the shoot of her period drama Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, being in the last leg, this year may prove to be a big one for her.

What’s more? A newspaper report suggests that the actor may have nabbed an inspiration drama helmed by R. Balki where she would be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. Kangana is allegedly set to play the role of an amputee while Big B will play her mentor.

“Kangana had already been roped in for the Arunima Sinha [ the first Indian amputee to scale Mount Everest] biopic. But the film showed no signs of kickstarting. So, when Balki offered her this project, she was keen to come on board. The film revolves around a woman who is left handicapped after a freak accident, and eventually reclaims her life. The actors are expected to sign the contracts next week and an official announcement will be made later this month.” A source confided in the tabloid.

According to the source Kangana will require prep time of about two months to get into the skin of a differently-abled person.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently preoccupied with Thugs Of Hindostan and 102 Not Out, while R Balki is busy with the Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan.
