Lose yourself in this rendition of Mast Qalandar by Aks & Lakshmi

Performing a popular qawwali written in honor of one of the most revered Sufi saints of Sindh, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar of Sehwan Sharif who worked for the unity of Hindus and Muslims in the Sindh province and Hindu Sindhis call him Jhulelal.

The original prayer was written by 13th century Sufi poet Amir Khusrow and later modified by Punjabi poet-saint Bulleh Shah.

This modern melody was composed by Pakistani composer Master Ashiq Hussain, and widely popularized by many famous singers like Runa Laila, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, and Sabri Brothers.
