Sridevi along with the entire Kapoor family was in UAE to attend the wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah. The news of Sridevi’s death came as a huge shock to the entire film fraternity as well as her fans.
Arjun Kapoor has gone to Dubai today morning to be with his father Boney Kapoor at the hotel while the formalities are being wrapped up. He will also oversee the return journey.
Sridevi’s mortal remains has left the embalming unit and it is on the way to the Dubai airport. A chartered flight has been arranged to transport the body from Dubai to Mumbai.
According to the latest update, the condolence meeting for Sridevi will be held on February 28 at Celebration Sports Club from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, it will be followed by the funeral and last rites at Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery from 3.30 pm.

Vipul, the Consul General of India, confirmed that Dubai Police has closed Sridevi’s case. A consulate official also added that preparation of bringing Sridevi’s body back to India is being handled by the actor’s family.
Dubai Police hands over documents for the release of Sridevi’s body
Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), which is responsible for disseminating government-related news in cooperation with local government agencies, posted on Twitter: “The decision to release the body came after all the investigations and procedural matters followed in such incidents were completed, in order to determine all its circumstances and ensure that justice was done within the framework of the law.”
After acquiring the release documents from Dubai Police, Sridevi’s family members have arrived at the mortuary to collect her body, reports Khaleej Times.
