SA Muslim Network calls for the removal of Lotus FM RJ

The South African Muslim Network has issued a formal request to SABC executives, COO – Mr Chris Maroleng, Acting CEO, Ms. Nomsa Piliso and current station manager, Mr Alvin Pillay.

The contents of the letter refer to the current incident regarding Lotus FM RJ Pauline Rosanna Sangham and her alleged comments that promote Islamophobia.

The letter states

Dear Ms. Piliso

19 March 2018

We attach a picture of comments made on social media by a presenter/producer/journalist Pauline Sangham employed by the SABC on Lotus FM.

We believe these comments make her job at the SABC untenable. Our offices have been inundated over the past few days with complaints and anger from members of the Muslim community.

We look forward to your urgent action on this matter. Kind regards

Dr. Faisal Suliman Chairperson
