Lotus FM has officially announced their new programme line-up on that goes live 01 April 2018.
The station’s press release describes the changes as one that ‘encompasses a mixture of experience, comedy, wit and cultural diversity.’
The weekly breakfast show Morning Rush has been terminated and replaced with the Breakfast Express from 7AM to 10AM. The show will be anchored by O’Neil Nair and actor, comedian Jailoshini Naidoo.
In addition to the team, traffic will be presented by Sanobar Khan who has knocked off Mishka Gounden from the morning team. Althaf Suleman remains on the show presenting the sporting segment and former anchor Shaastra Nagesar turns producer for the Breakfast Express.

Sanobar Khan has been rumored to be the replacement for Varshan Sookhun on the Bollywood Billboard however no official announcement on this. Just a few days ago, Khan announced her move to Johannesburg where she joins her husband. We will have to see how this impacts her role at the station as announced.

Varshan Sookhun retains his 5-day afternoon show with Pravina Maharaj as producer, Feroz Shaik on sports and Mishka Gounden on traffic. The Afternoon Takeover airs from 3PM to 6PM weekdays.
Alan Khan anchors the popular talk show, Walk the Talk and a welcome return of senior journalist, Maya Jagjivan-Kalicharan to the station as producer of the show.
The Saturday breakfast show now has Shaastra Nagesar and Enrico Pillay from 7AM to 10AM with Lenisha Pakkiri bringing you the sporting news.
Karrushar Krish will now present the Connection show on Saturdays between 5PM to 7PM.
As reported, Hindvani presenter Romeo Chonco and Senzo Mthethwa will co-host the Sunday breakfast show, Morning Masala produced by Yashika Ramautar with Lenisha Pakkiri on sports news.
The Gospel Hour show that was anchored by former host, Pauline Rosanna Sangham has been left out of the announcement until a decision has been reached within SABC on her employment, however rumors state that she has been summarily dismissed from the station.
