Pandit Ravi Shankar was born as Rabindra Shankar Chowdhury on 7 April, 1920. As an Indian musician and a composer of Hindustani classical music, he is perhaps one of the best-known proponents of the sitar. Pandit Ravi Shankar has influenced musicians throughout the world.
