Jailoshini Naidoo returns with a star cast on ‘Imbewu: The Seed’

Stage, television & movie actor and radio personality Jailoshini Naidoo is an unstoppable force in the entertainment industry.

After the record breaking success of South African romcom ‘Keeping up with the Kandasamys’ Naidoo is set to be in her new drama series, ‘Imbewu: The Seed’ that will premiere on the April 16 on Etv Monday to Friday 9:30PM.

The new made-for-television series features an all-star group both in front and behind the scenes. Starring the iconic Leleti Khumalo, who is also an Executive Producer, ‘Imbewu: The Seed’ is set in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

The Seed is set in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, with a storyline that spans from the most-affluent parts of Umlazi to the humblest street in eNquthu and the township of Chatsworth.

A deep and unspoken truth, representing the cultural legacy between two brothers, is at the centre of the series. Showcasing local talent at its best, Imbewu: The Seed will see up-and-coming performers ply their craft alongside legendary actors.

Anant Singh will be at the helm of the production. Singh is internationally recognised and celebrated for his works that include the films ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’, the Oscar-nominated ‘Yesterday’, and ‘Sarafina!’.
