An elated Preven Reddy on set for the first day at Imbewu: The Seed

Actor, comedian Preven Reddy is on a high as he just announced his role in the daily television soapie, Imbewu: The Seed. 

Reddy made the announcement shortly on his Facebook page, 

Shuuu! So I can finally let everyone know that I’ll be joining the cast of the new ETV series “Imbewu – The Seed” Extremely excited to be a part of this journey, thank you everyone for the continuous support, this is a dream come true!???

The new made-for-television series which is currently on-air features an all-star group both in front and behind the scenes. Starring the iconic Leleti Khumalo, who is also an Executive Producer, ‘Imbewu: The Seed’ is set in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

It was just a week ago that veteran actor, Jack Devnarain announced his comeback to South African television on the soapie after leaving behind his role as Rajesh Kumar on SABC3’s Isidingo.

The Seed is set in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, with a storyline that spans from the most-affluent parts of Umlazi to the humblest street in eNquthu and the township of Chatsworth.

A deep and unspoken truth, representing the cultural legacy between two brothers, is at the centre of the series. Showcasing local talent at its best, Imbewu: The Seed will see up-and-coming performers ply their craft alongside legendary actors.
