TELL OUR READERS ALL ABOUT YOURSELF?

Whilst she was recognized for producing and managing some of the largest corporate events in South Africa for clients such as Enterprise Magazine, Black Management Forum, Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky and The Financial Mail’s Little Black Book, it was her love for exploring the African Continent that endured.

While living in New York, she met Chika Onyeani author of Capitalist Nigger, worked with Alex Haley author of Roots, Dr Joe Okpaku of Okpaku Communications, publishers of the Henry Kissinger Biography and Angela Davies’ If They Come in the Morning.

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

Travel. Visiting new Lands, meeting new people, interacting with foreign cultures, hearing the sounds of languages spoken, hanging out in markets, smelling aromas of spices, browsing through indigenous – owned shops with their uniqueness spilling over into the streets.

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST PASSION?

What makes me happy and my passion is interlinked.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE?

My Spirituality is such that I live in the present as much as possible. As such, I am conscious of the fact that I am a Spiritual Being having a physical experience.

This helps me live my best Life.

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU IN YOUR SPARE TIME?

With my daughters or at home doing absolutely nothing.

HOW DO YOU GET BALANCE IN YOUR LIFE?

If I want balance, I get out of Johannesburg. Otherwise I get it by being with my children.

WHAT’S YOUR THOUGHTS ON AGING?

I struggle with it, because the Afterlife is not a concept our society places any relevance or importance in, even though intellectually I understand the significance of ‘dropping one’s outer body’.

So much currency is placed on the aesthetic of a person and youth is paramount in the assessment of that worth.

This contributes greatly to the lack of intelligent content in media. It is not viewed as a priority.

WHAT ‘RULES’ DO YOU LIVE BY?

When one’s sense of Spirituality is developed, one really does not need rules. What IS becomes the driver and influencer.

My compass is internal and not external and therefore requires no justification or approval from anyone. I guess this in itself is a rule.

WHAT THREE THINGS COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?

A Vision, A Dream and Passion
