Just after 6am this morning, Iyron Lovedale was walking along Baracuda Road when he heard what he at first thought was a cat crying.
Lovedale remained at the scene right until she was pulled out and airlifted to a local hospital. Lovedale, who is a father himself, was over the moon with the outcome.
“I’m just happy, you can hear it from my voice, that the baby is out and has been rescued. Somebody who is looking for a child, might take that baby,” he said.
