Telangana’s TRS NRI South Africa honor fallen soldiers #PulwamaAttack with charity

#SOUTHAFRICA: Telangana State Chief Minister Sri Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao Garu called upon his party cadre to suspend all celebrations of his birthday on 17th Feb 2019.

This was in light of the horrific terrorist attack on India CRPF Armed Forces in Avantipura, Pulwama District in Jammu & Kashmir.

In Telangana, a food hamper program was carried out to the needy in the Vaira, Khammam District by the ruling political party.

TRS NRI has presence in over in 33 countries where humanitarian activities are carried out in over 100 countries as part of its attempts to strengthen political and humanitarian bases abroad.

These party cells primarily provide necessary assistance to Telangana NRI’s living around the world.

Back in South Africa, the party ‘TRS NRI’ South African wing hosted large scale charity drives across the 3 major cities in of Johannesburg, Cape Town & Durban.

South Africans rallied together in show of support at interfaith peace prayer meet for the martyred Indian soldiers. This event was hosted by ‘TRS NRI’ South African wing along with other expats in Durban, Johannesburg & Cape Town.

In Midrand, the TRS South African wing handed out ‘dignity kits for rape survivors at the local police station to help these victims.

“We are proud that TRS NRI South Africa wing, is the first NRI organization that contributed to this endeavour compared to other NRI South African organizations.”

Midrand’s Leamogetswe Safety Home orphanage, Cape Town’s Heaven’s Nest orphanage and north of Durban at the Phoenix Child & Family Welfare Society had smiles all around as the TRS NRI party wing in SA distributed groceries, books, sporting goods and a range of other essentials that would carry these organizations through for the next 2 months.

The orphanage in Gauteng which caters for 105 children also enjoyed a lunch with the party wing branch.
