#GoT: This Malayali from Kerala was Khaleesi’s blood rider!

#HBO: ‘Game of Thrones’ might be over but we’re still spinning theories, watching BTS videos, looking at interviews of the cast and most importantly, following them on social media. And this has thrown up a lot of new information about their real lives. Like how Sophie Turner battled depression and what the Night King actually looks like in the real world.

Also, Staz Nair, the actor who plays the fierce Dothraki warrior ‘Qhono’ is a Malayali hailing from Kerala!

Qhono first appeared in season 6 and captured the Khaleesi aka Daenerys Targaryen and took her to Khal Moro. But when she incinerated all the Khals and emerged from the fire unscathed, he became her bloodrider and accompanied her to Westeros.

He was with Daenerys throughout seasons 7 and 8 and finally lost his life in the Battle of Winterfell fighting against the undead.

Staz took to Instagram expressing his gratefulness at all the love he received from his native place saying,

“GOT also allowed me to reconnect with my Indian heritage, it’s such an honour to be a part of so much pride, the hometown (Kerala) support has been so humbling so Thank you to all of my Malayali/Indian people.”

Wondering what the leader of the Dothraki horde looks like in real life? Take a look.

He is Russian-Indian and also dabbles in singing/songwriting. How cool is that?
