Nitesh Tiwari, the filmmaker behind Dangal, and Ravi Udyawar’s next project will be a trilogy based on the Hindu epic Ramayana.
According to recent reports, Super 30 actor Hrithik Roshan has been signed up to play the role of Lord Ram in the film. The same was reported by Filmfare.

With an estimated budget of Rs 500 crore, the film will be shot in 3D and it will be a live-action trilogy in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film is being produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra. According to a source close to the development, Hrithik has not only agreed to the film but also thinks that it’s one of his most ambitious projects till date.

According to a report by Times of India, the producers want to cast Padmaavat actor Deepika Padukone opposite Hrithik Roshan’s character. They want her to fill in the shoes of the mythological figure Sita. Nitesh Tiwari also told Times of India that he is currently working on Chhichhore and once that’s wrapped up, he is looking forward to focus on 3D Ramayana once again.
The trailer for Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore will release on 4 August. The film is slated for a release on 30 August. It stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor.
