Ranu Mondal to work with AR Rahman & Sonu Nigam?

Ranu Mondal, who was spotted singing Lata Mangeshkar’s popular song ‘Ek pyaar ka nagma hai’ outside a railway station in Kolkata is basking in success!

Ranu’s manager, Atindra Chakraborty excitedly shares that Ranu has been showered with offers from Bollywood, Bengali and South Indian film industries.

“Just a day before, we got a call from AR Rahman’s office. Sonu Nigam has also shown interest in collaborating with Ranuji. We’ve decided to concentrate on these offers right now, along with Bollywood offers,” shares Atindra, further sharing that Ranu has also received many offers to perform live.

Ranu Mondal recorded a song for Bollywood musician Himesh Reshammiya for his next film Happy, Hardy and Heer.

In August, reports started to do the rounds that actor Salman Khan has gifted her a house worth Rs 55 lakh and also offered her to sing a song in Dabangg 3.

According to Jagran, Salman Khan was so impressed by her voice that he even plans to record a song with Ranu for his upcoming movie Dabangg 3.

When a call was made to Ranu Mondal she was clueless about the news reports.

Chakraborty — the man who recorded and shared her video on social media — and he denied these reports. “All these are fake news. I’ve been getting several calls since this rumour started doing rounds. She has no such offer. The house that is being made for her is by Ranaghat local administration. The channel who gave her the opportunity to perform live on TV along with the local administration helped her get her Aadhaar card made,” he tells us.

Who is Ranu Mandol?

Ranu Mondal is known as the Lata of Ranaghat is from West Bengal’s Nadia district. Atindra Chakraborty had first heard Mandol singing a Mohammed Rafi song at Ranaghat station, and requested her to sing more song, so she sang Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai, which Atindra recorded on his phone.

He shared the video on his Facebook page and it turned viral. Ranu Mondal always wanted to become a singer and was passionate about singing since her childhood. It’s no surprise that Lata Mangeshkar is her inspiration.
