Mohammadh and Zaheena Sayed are mourning the death of their 10-year-old son Zayyaan. The child was admitted with severe acid reflux under the care of Dr Peter Beale. The family of the late 10yo Zayyaan Sayed have begun their battle against South Africa’s health regulator and hospital groups.

The Sayed’s have demanded that 73yo Professor Peter Beale and the attending anaesthetist, Dr Abdulhay Munshi, be suspended from practising and that an inquiry is launched into Zayyaan’s death.
The story has made headlines drawing the attention of political leaders like the EFF’s Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and Julius Malema.
The death of Zayyaan Sayed has now made other former patients’ families question Prof Beale’s competency in the handling of their children’s cases.
Mohammadh Sayed, father of Zayyaan is most likely planning to bring these former patients’ families together in his battle for justice for Zayyaan and their loved ones.
