Between all the happiness and celebrations, Naseem lost his mother back in Pakistan, reports News 18.

Due to flight logistics and customs, it wasn’t possible for Naseem to fly back home in time to attend his mother’s funeral. So, the young pacer decided to stay back and complete the match. In the eight overs that he bowled, Naseem picked one wicket and gave 21 runs earning huge appreciation from the spectators, teammates, and coach, reports IE.

As Pakistan coach Waqar Younis, honored Naseem with the Test cap, the young cricketer could not hold his emotions back and broke down. The video of Naseem bursting into tears after receiving the cap from the coach has moved people.

Naseem’s dedication towards the game will surely take him a long way. He’s a hero.

Kudos to you, Naseem!
