#PHOTOS:Kartik Aaryan rings in birthday with parents and celebrities

On 22 November, Pati Patni Aur Woh actor Kartik Aaryan turned a year older. To ring in the special occasion, the actor began his day with a small cake-cutting ceremony with his parents. Kartik took to social media to share a photo of the occasion.

In the photo, Kartik is cutting the cake while his parents stand on either of his side. The table is lined with colourful balloons and baby pictures of the actor. The caption reads, “Jab Mummy Papa ne bday pe surprise kiya ..” followed by a heart emoji.

Here are the other photos that he posted:

He was later spotted partying with his Pati, Patni Aur Woh co-stars Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Lakshya Lalwani, who will be seen with Kartik in Dostana 2, director Imtiaz Ali, Kiara Advani, Aparshakti Khurana, Kriti Sanon and Nupur Sanon were also on the guest list.

Kartik also celebrated his birthday with fans at Mithibai College in Mumbai, as part of promotions for Pati, Patni Aur Woh. He and his co-actors Bhumi and Ananya entertained the audience with a few steps from ‘Dheeme Dheeme’, a song from the film.

The caption reads, “Nyt shoot ends and so does #Dostana2 ka Punjab Schedule First Schedule Wraps”

Dostana 2 is a sequel to 2008’s Dostana, which starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. The Tarun Mansukhani directorial was about two men who pretend to be a gay couple in order to rent an apartment. Trouble ensues when they both fall for the same girl.

Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh with Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. It will release on 2 December. The film is a remake of BR Chopra’s hit classic of the same name starring Sanjeev Kumar. Speaking about the relevance of such an old story, Ananya Panday had said, “The generation of that decade could relate to it, and today’s generation will associate with our version of the film.”

The new Pati Patni Aur Woh is the story of Chintu Tyagi’s (Kartik Aaryan) extra marital affair. In the trailer, he can be seen lamenting to Aparshakti Khurrana that his father had tricked him into getting married at a young age. He sure loves his wife (Bhumi Pednekar), but when Tapasya (Ananya Panday) steps into Chintu’s life, his loyalties shift in seconds.
