India’s most elite batsman, Virat Kohli turns 31 today Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Arguably he is one of India’s most decorated batsmen, the right-hander has so far tumbled several records through his elegant batting display. Virat began his training at West Delhi Cricket Academy and made his first-class debut in November 2006.
Leading India to their 11th consecutive Test series victory at home, Kohli currently stands at the number 2 position in the ICC Test rankings for batsmen. Virat made his way into India’s Under-19 squad, and was eventually named captain for the U-19 World Cup.
Virat Kohli replaced MS Dhoni, who announced his retirement during the Test series in Australia in April 2014, leading India for the first time on 6 January 2015 in Sydney.
Virat and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot on 11 December, 2017 in Tuscany, Italy, with just family and close friends in attendance.
Virat is the brand ambassador of Audi India and owns a range of new-generation Audi cars including the Audi R8 LMX, which is a limited edition car.
