Saif Ali Khan’s look in Ajay Devgn’s ‘Tanhaji’ reminds us of Jon Snow

Saif Ali Khan’s Look In ‘Tanhaji'

Actor, director and now producer, Ajay Devgn has been busy shooting for his 100th film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, an Indian period drama.

Ajay who is also producing the movie had earlier shared the poster of the movie drawing appreciation for his fierce look as gallant Tanaji Malusare.

He recently shared another poster of Saif Ali Khan as Udaybhan Rathod, the opponent who fights against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during the battle of Sinhagad. The actor is seen sitting on a throne gripping a sword, donning his black armour and a cape. Ajay captioned the post, “Udaybhan Ke Darbar Mein Ghalati Ki Maafi Nahi Sirf Sazah Milti Hai…”

However, this poster wasn’t well-received by people on the internet. People couldn’t help but compare Saif Ali Khan’s avatar of Udaybhan with Jon Snow from the HBO series, Game Of Thrones.

Representative Image

Although some might say that the much anticipated last season of Game of Thrones wasn’t as promising as the others, it was still one of the most sought after drama television series. Probably that’s the reason why people were quick to point out Saif’s uncanny resemblance in the poster with GOT’s Jon Snow.

People have been questioning the originality of the movie. Some even rebuked the makers for doing a ‘Gandi copy’ of one of the most sought after series, while others called his look as ‘gareebon ka Jon Snow’.

The movie, set in the 17th century, focuses on the Sinhagad battle when Tanaji, the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, sacrificed his life and bravely fought against Udaybhan. Kajol will also be playing the role of Savitri Malusare.

The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on January 10, 2020.
