#NEWDELHI: As part of the literature fest underway in India’s capital, Deepika Padukone and Boney Kapoor were present at the launch of a book on actor Sridevi in Delhi on Sunday night.
Apart from Padukone and Kapoor, the event was also attended by filmmaker Gauri Shinde, who directed Sridevi in English Vinglish.
While launching the book titled Sridevi: The Eternal Screen Goddess written by Satyarth Nayak, Padukone said that Sridevi was a person she shared a personal bond with and was extremely fond of at a personal level. Padukone also remembered the days when Sridevi used to send her personalised messages after watching every film that she did and praised Deepika for her performances.
Sridevi’s husband and producer, Kapoor, was seen getting emotional at the book release.

Speaking about the book, the writer explained that the book will delve deep into Sridevi’s iconic body of work in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinema. With this book, Nayak pays tribute to the gorgeous Mr India actress.
The veteran actress Sridevi passed away at the age of 54 on February 24, last year in Dubai. The Hawa Hawai actress is one of the most celebrated actresses of Bollywood till date. The actress has contributed immensely to the film industry by giving several incredible performers in the history of Indian cinema.
