Every Kajol fan loves her for being the vivacious, bold, and honest person that she is. And Ajay Devgn being the complete opposite, it was a given that their relationship would be a hit, because “opposites attract”!
However, it isn’t so that their life together hasn’t been bumpy. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Kajol had a miscarriage on the sets of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. In fact, she had 2 miscarriages before she conceived Nysa.
“I was pregnant during Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001 but had a miscarriage. I was in the hospital that day–the film had done so well, but it wasn’t a happy time. I had another miscarriage after that–it was tough. But eventually, it worked out–we had Nysa and Yug and our family’s complete,”Kajol
Kajol also went on to reveal details about her relationship with Ajay Devgn when they were dating. According to TOI, they decided to get married 4 years after they dated. While it was an instant nod from the Devgn family, Kajol’s father wanted her to focus on her career and didn’t speak to her for 4 days! However, anybody who has grown up watching Kajol would know that nobody can say ‘no’ to her for too long. So the wedding was on!

Having a miscarriage is still a taboo subject in our society. We come across many instances where a woman is blamed in such cases, often shamed and harassed by family members. The woman ends up feeling extremely guilty and it often takes a toll on her mental health. The more conversation there is about miscarriages, the more people will realise that they are normal and can happen to anybody.
Kudos to Kajol for speaking about her miscarriage and paving the path for a healthy dialogue surrounding the issue!
