Prev Reddy Nominated At Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

South African actor Prev Reddy has reached for the stars while keeping his feet firmly on the ground.

CELEBRITY NEWS: South African entertainer and actor Prev Reddy has made history at the upcoming 33rd annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Reddy has been giving social media users a serious case of the giggles with his alter-ego Aunty Shamilla for years and is the first South African Indian to be nominated at the 33rd Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The Durban actor has been nominated alongside other favourite African stars Patricia Kihoro, Shekhinah, Sho Madjozi and Teni.

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 celebrates kids’ favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music, pop culture, animation and more. The nominations were announced yesterday on the KCA blog announcing that the event will be hosted by Grammy® Award-winning superstar Chance the Rapper.

In the localized country-specific category of ‘African Social Star‘ the Durban actor is up against Anne Kansiime from Uganda, fellow South African lip-sync content creator Chanè Grobler and DJ Cuppy of Nigeria.

Reddy was ecstatic over the nomination shared the news on Friday on his social media stream.

I cannot believe that this is real life and I am posting this. I’ve been watching the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards ever since I can remember and now I’ve just been nominated for my very own Kid’s Choice Award in the African Social Star category!

I’m officially the first South African-Indian to be nominated for a Kid’s Choice Award and I know we’re just getting started! I want to thank all of you for all the love and support that has make this opportunity materialize, and for making my dreams come true over and over again!

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 air on Nick Toons (DStv Channel 308) on Monday, 23 March 2020 at 17:30 CAT, 24 hours after the event in the USA. The show will also be repeated on Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305) on Wednesday, 25 March at 18:00 CAT.
