Salman Ali Pulls Out Ahead Of South Africa Tour

NEWS: South African Indian music fans are set to be disappointed as they gear up to attend the almost sold-out Panache Promotions event featuring Indian artists Arjun And Salman Ali live in concert in Durban and Johannesburg this weekend. Salman Ali shot to stardom after his unique smoky voice went platinum after performing the song ‘Awara’ with Muskaan for the Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg 3.’

Farzana Mayet of Panache Promotions declined to admit whether the artist is scheduled to perform this weekend in Durban and Johannesburg as they are preparing to release a statement this Friday afternoon. Emperors Palace Group Public Relations & Customer Care Manager Julie van Wyk was unable to confirm if the event is scheduled to go ahead with both billed artists as advertised. Following enquiries with the sponsor and event organizer Asgar Mohamed of Esquire Technologies confirmed to Indian Spice that Salman Ali will not be performing in South Africa. According to Mohamed, the vocalist Ali and a band member were refused travel citing coronavirus concerns.

The event is scheduled to go ahead with Ankush Bhardwaj in place of Salman Ali, according to Asgar Mohamed. Ankush Bhardwaj shared a video announcing his appearance at the event.
