Four Nirbhaya Convicts Put To Death Tomorrow Friday

INDIA NEWS: The Delhi Patiala court has dismissed the plea by Nirbhaya convicts on Thursday, 19 March, to delay their execution set to proceed tomorrow 20 March. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Thursday also rejected a plea filed by convicted Nirbhaya rapist Akshay Singh challenging the decision of the President of India rejecting his mercy plea.

Earlier on Thursday, the court was told that no legal recourse of any kind from of the four Nirbhaya convicts were pending in any of the courts of India.

The Supreme Court on Thursday also refused to entertain the plea of convict Mukesh Singh claiming he was not in Delhi when the crime was committed on 16 December 2012.

The four convicts are scheduled to be hanged at 5:30 am on 20 March.
