SABC NEWS: Nothing screams loyalty to the South African people more than a soldier who is ready to lay down his life for his nation. As the world faces uncertain times with the growing crisis of the coronavirus pandemic, Sergeant Keith David Pillay has the South African Indian community beaming with pride.
His mom from Montford in Chatsworth, south of Durban broke down in an interview with Newsbreak Lotus FM as she revealed that her son, Sergeant Keith David Pillay, has been deployed by the South African National Defence Force to patrol the country during the 21-day lockdown.
The 64-year-old Kanagie Pillay – a mother of five and grandmother of eight – says she is emotional yet proud that her son is part of the army deployed to battle the scourge of COVID19 in South Africa.
