Bollywood Actor Rishi Kapoor Passes Away

BOLLYWOOD NEWS: Just a day ago the world became a little bit lonelier as Irrfan Khan passed away and a day later we mourn the passing away of veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor.

Considered to be one of the great Bollywood romance icons, Rishi Kapoor will remain forever a golden classic for his dance moves, fiery personality and his hearty cheerful laugh. After his love story on set with actor Neetu Singh, the legendary actor married Singh in 1980. The Kapoor family have a long lineage of actors that have remained the golden family of Indian cinema. Kapoor made headlines after his debut lead role in the 1973 teenage romance ‘Bobby’ that led to a string of romance roles for over twenty years. But it was his early days as a child actor in his father’s 1970 film ‘Mera Naam Joker’ that sparked his journey into acting.

The 67-year-old Rishi Kapoor was admitted to H N Reliance hospital, Mumbai on Monday 29 April. Randhir Kapoor was quoted saying, “He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now.”

The actor was placed in intensive care but the actor breathed his last as he battled cancer since 2018 and had even sought medical treatment in New York previously.
