SABC NEWS: South African consumers are now trading in their vehicles for a more cost-effective option given the current economic impact of lockdown. This after the economic impact on all South African citizens, according to a study by AutoTrader South Africa, based on searches on their web-platform. The automotive industry has welcomed the move by government to reopen the industry under stage four of the national lockdown.
On Tuesday, government gazetted new regulations permitting a three-phased approach to the sale of cars and related services such as vehicle roadworthy assessment centres, vehicle test driving.
