Restaurants Want 70% Sit-In Capacity To Survive Lockdown

SABC NEWS: The Restaurant Association of South Africa (RASA) has pleaded with the government to allow sit-ins at recognised establishments – who follow strict measures against the spread of COVID-19. They say massive job losses are “inevitable within the industry” – as sit-in dining remains prohibited under alert level 3 of the lockdown. Over 13,000 establishments nationally have opened their doors earlier this week for deliveries and collections only.

RASA CEO, Wendy Alberts says their recommendation to government for the full re-opening of restaurants has fallen on deaf-ears.
