SABC NEWS: The Commission for Gender Equality says it’s disgusted at the high rate of gender-based violence that the country is currently facing. This comes after the recent spate of GBV incidents that include the gruesome murder of a woman who was eight months pregnant. Meanwhile, a 26-year-old mother of two was axed and a 39-year-old woman was shot and killed. These are just some of the reported cases, of which the commission says is not a true reflection of this scourge plaguing the country.
Spokesperson for the Commission, Jabu Baloyi is calling on all men in South Africa to “man up” and do the right thing.
